Get your paddles ready for a fun event on the beautiful waters of the St. Lawrence River! The Township of Front of Yonge is hosting the fourth annual Paddle Poker Run on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 at Brown’s Bay. 

The Paddle Poker Run is an event that encourages people to get outside to celebrate and enjoy the St. Lawrence River. All river-appropriate paddle craft are welcome (kayak, canoe, etc.) This is not a race, but a fun paddle that all ages and abilities can enjoy. Each paddler will follow a route beginning at Brown’s Bay that includes at least five stops or checkpoints where they will draw a playing card. After the paddle, there will be prizes for the best poker hand. There will be routes set up for beginners and experienced paddlers ranging from 5km to 10km. New this year, open river swimmers are welcome to participate, and an optional kayaking safety demonstration will be offered on the morning of the event.

Enjoy the Quintessential Muskoka Experience at the Music Music Crawl “Campfire Sessions” Imagine sitting by a roaring fire, feeling the soft sand or cool grass beneath your feet, and being serenaded by talented musicians. The streets of Baysville will be bustling on Saturday July 27 during the 34th Annual Baysville Walkabout. There will be vendors of arts, crafts, antiques, woodworking, collectibles, baking, food vendors - you name and you'll probably find it at the Baysville Walkabout! This family friendly, community event begins with a pancake breakfast put on the Lion’s Club, volunteer firefighter demonstrations, live entertainment featuring Red and the Ramblers, magic shows, facepainting and much more!
