The Kingston Baroque Consort (KBC) is pleased to present a “Festival of Music, Art, and Dance”, October 6-14, with the generous support of the Kingston Arts Council. On Saturday 7 October from 10am to noon, Christina Zacharias of the renowned Toronto-based Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra will present a workshop on “Baroque Performance practice for instrumentalists” at the Dan School of Drama and Music on the Queen’s University campus.

Festival passes cost $25 (adults) and $10 (students), and free for under 17. Passes are available by emailing legerek@queensu.ca, calling 613-217-5099, in person at Novel Idea (156 Princess St), or at the door with cash, cheque, or interac e-transfer.

The Festival begins with a concert, “Enchanted Steps”, featuring dance music by Charpentier, Telemann, and Purcell, on Friday 6 October at 5:15pm at St James Church (10 Union St, Kingston). The concert will include special guest Violinist Christina Zacharias of the renowned Toronto-based Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra.

This event is being held in person after several years of being an on-line event due to COVID-19.

A Falling Leaves Lunch will be held at St. Brice's Anglican Church on Saturday October 21st. from 11a.m. to 1:00p.m. Hearty soup, rolls, dessert, tea and coffee will be served for $7.00.  Crafts and baking will also be for sale as well as unique cards and baby quilts.
