Warm beverages are best enjoyed with lovely mugs! Create a personalized mug using the library's Cricut cutting machine and Cricut Mug Press. We will provide all of the materials and walk you through the steps. Ages 16+

Cost is $5 per person (cash only).

Community Event - Quinte - 3D Printing Course at Belleville Library

Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm | February 7, 14 & 21 | Board Room ​

In this 3 week course participants will learn the basics of 3D printing technology, design a simple object using TinkerCAD, and print a small object on the library's MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printer.

Cold weather is being predicted for Chatham-Kent starting today, January 3 to January 6.

Chatham Hope Haven will operate as a Warming Centre from 7 pm to 7 am starting tonight until Saturday January 6. They are located at 183 Wellington Street West, Chatham.
Please contact the Homeless Response Line (HRL) at 519-354-6628 if you require assistance with transportation.

Anyone can be affected by extreme cold-related weather conditions, depending on length of time of exposure to cold. Those especially at risk include:

• older adults over the age of 65
• infants and young children
• outdoor workers
• homeless persons, and/or those without warm clothing or food

During extreme cold weather, residents are encouraged to call or visit friends and neighbours who may be at risk, and keep pets inside.

Mom's Baby Cupboard Wallaceburg will be open on Thursday January 11th, 2024, at St. James Church, 719 James St. in Steinhoff Hall from 10am to noon. They have the essentials like formula, diapers, wipes and a few clothing items. You have to wear a mask and social distance at all times.

Community Event - Peterborough/Lindsay - Kawartha String Orchestra Looking for New Members

The Kawartha String Orchestra is seeking new members (on violin, viola, cello and bass) for its spring 2024 season.

The KSO is an intermediate-level community string orchestra located in Peterborough. No auditions are necessary.

Under the leadership of conductor and music director Tak Kwan, the Kawartha String Orchestra plays a variety of genres, ranging from classical to folk to movie themes and more.

Rehearsals are held Wednesday mornings at Mark Street United Church on Hunter Street East in East City, culminating in two annual concerts in November and May to raise money for local charities, such as Kawartha Food Share.
