On October 15, 2023, the Peterborough Concert Band – under the baton of Juno-nominated Music Director Saman Shahi – will present a special musical program entitled  The PATH Forward . This event will benefit Peterborough Action for Tiny Homes (PATH), which is a community-driven initiative to provide transitional housing for unsheltered citizens in Peterborough.  Kate Suhr and Megan Murphy will guide the audience through a program that features big band standards, classical gems, new compositions and vocals.

A Death Cafe is a group, usually strangers, directed discussion of death, dying and all things surrounding those events with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group not a grief support or counselling session.  Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.  We offer an accessible, respectful and confidential space. Seating limited. Registration needed.

For only $10/box (approximately bankers box size), your documents can be shredded!  We have secured the services of Datashred Security for this event.

On Saturday, September 23rd at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington, Community Living Burlington (CLB) is hosting their 43rd annual Walk n’ Roll. The event is CLB’s largest fundraiser of the year.

Walk’n Roll is a family friendly event that promotes diversity and inclusion for all.  Registration starts at 10:00 am, followed by a 1KM or 2KM walk around Brant Street Pier. There will be tons of fun-filled activities, live musical performances, food, prizes and much more!

CLB is a charitable organization whose mission is to enrich the quality of life for people with a developmental disability. Our goal is to raise $75,000. All proceeds will be utilized to create a Wellness Centre at Mainway, that's tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities ensuring inclusive accessibility for all.

The funds raised through this event will play a crucial role in establishing a much-needed wellness center. This center will serve as a central hub where healthcare services can be conveniently accessed under one roof. The wellness center aims to provide comprehensive and holistic care to those with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life.
