Learn how to find tourist activities, access event guides, and plan memorable day trips in Chatham-Kent for the summer and beyond!

This class will cover:
à Chatham-Kent's landmarks, attractions, and historical sites
à How to use tourism websites, official guides, and social media platforms to discover tourist attractions
à Where to look online to find upcoming events and festivals 
à Utilizing mapping tools and transportation resources to plan day trips effectively

Participants are asked to bring their own device that they are most comfortable using i.e. your own laptop, tablet, or phone.

Space is limited. Sign up and pay in advance to secure your spot. 
 

Funding by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program

$3 for members
$6 for non-members


Membership & activities at The Centre is open to adults ages 30 and up. The Centre is always welcoming new members.

Sidney Westminster United Church, 1199 Wallbridge Loyalist Rd., Belleville ON K8N 4Z5 is having a Chicken Cold Plate Drive Thru Take Out Dinner on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 from 4:00-5:30 pm.

The Menu is Oven Roasted Chicken Breast, Assorted Salads, Dinner Roll & a Slice of Pie.

Tickets are $18.00, Prepaid Advance Sales Only, Limited Number of Tickets.

The Royal Canadian Legion Fort Malden Branch 157 in Amherstburg, Ontario welcomes all to their annual "family-centered" DECORATION DAY ceremony Sunday June 2, 2024, at the cenotaph in Kings Navy Yard.

The family-centered ceremony opens at 12:15 p.m.  The presentation of the Poppy street signs bearing the names of Amherstburg's fallen Veterans will follow at 12:45 p.m.

Decoration Day (first held in June 1890) is commemorated the first Sunday in June by Royal Canadian Legion Branches across Canada as a way to remember those who fought in battles before the World Wars, as well as paying tribute to veterans most recently lost. The “Poppy” street signs are named in honour of fallen Amherstburg veterans.

Guests are invited to the Legion - 281 Dalhousie Street, Amherstburg, Ontario for a FREE book reading - The Anguish of War at 1:00 p.m. presented by Windsor's military historian and author Gene Lotz at 1:00 p.m.
