On Thursday, May 22 at 5:30 PM, the Neighbourhood Connects group will host a free Gentle Chair Exercise Class in the Mitton Village Parkette, led by Linda Brandon, Experience Wellness & Fitness Director. This session is designed for all fitness levels and is especially suitable for those seeking a gentle, low-impact way to move, stretch, and improve well-being. Chairs will be provided, and participants are simply encouraged to bring themselves. Following the class, attendees can enjoy fresh fruit and friendly conversation, offering a great opportunity to foster community connections and promote wellness in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Tales in Line and Colour: Woodcut Prints by Naoko Matsubara

Exhibition Opening: Saturday, May 17, 2025 | 3–5 PM

Queenston, ON – RiverBrink Art Museum is pleased to announce the opening of Tales in Line and Colour: Woodcut Prints by Naoko Matsubara, a striking exhibition showcasing the renowned Japanese-Canadian artist’s masterful prints and collages. The works reflect Matsubara’s deep engagement with nature and Japanese folklore, highlighting her bold sense of movement, colour, and design.

The opening reception will take place on Saturday, May 17 from 3–5 PM, featuring a live dance performance choreographed and performed by Noriko Yamamoto, specially created in response to the exhibition. Admission is by donation.

The exhibition runs through September 13, 2025.
