PTBO Lions in partnership with a not-for-profit organization called Soles4Souls is collecting gently used shoes and new socks to help those in need both locally and abroad.
The Pembroke Regional Hospital is your community hospital. We provide many specialized regional services and are a teaching centre affiliated with the University of Ottawa, providing learning experiences for a variety of health care professionals and delivering a comprehensive range of high quality health services.

The Pembroke Regional Hospital is receiving applications for the Board of Directors and Community Representatives on Board Committees.
Applicants to the Board of Directors should be prepared to make a significant commitment for a three-year term (with the possibility to reapply for two additional terms). Community Representatives on Board Committees are appointed annually. Ideal candidates will have the knowledge, skill and experience that will enable them to contribute to the Hospital, support the core values of quality and compassionate care and reflect the diversity of the community we serve.
While the Board of Directors welcomes all applicants, there is currently a need for additional clinical experience to balance out the skills on the Board.

Keynote Speaker - Tanya Granić Allen
Tanya Granic Allen is a Canadian commentator, social advocate, politician, and mother of five. Tanya is the host of Counterpoint, a daily opinion program on The News Forum channel. As an international speaker, she is an advocate for public policy concerning family, children, and women’s rights, including working at the UN. She is also past-president of Parents As First Educators (PAFE), an Ontario-based parental rights advocacy group. Tanya was a leadership candidate in the 2018 Ontario PC Party where she brought discussions to the forefront on issues such as Ontario’s sex education curriculum, the Green Energy contracts scam, and advocated for cancelling the carbon tax.
April 18th luncheon will be canceled dew to our trip to the Brockville Legion. All members going please be at the Cornwall Legion by 10:15am so will can all leave by 10:30am.
