Pathstone is seeking VOLUNTEERS to join our Supervised Parenting Time Niagara program.
This program provides opportunity for children to maintain or build a relationship with parent/ guardian in a supervised setting.
Volunteers will observe the appointment, take factual observation notes and intervene when necessary to protect the physical/ emotional safety of children.

Prince Edward Community Care offers over 50 online events each month for seniors 60+. Online Zoom fitness and arts classes along with socials are held Monday to Friday. In July, the Zoom webinar topics include “Christmas in July Sing-A-long” with Bev Verge; “Christmas Traditions of Yesteryear” with Krista Richardson from The PEC Archives. Prince Edward Community Care has arranged for the Prince Edward County Affordable Housing Corporation to provide a session for seniors to learn about and apply for affordable housing. “Exploring House-Matching Opportunities for Seniors" with Anne Van Vlack from The County Foundation. An informational session and interactive discussion covering a potential home-sharing program for seniors in Prince Edward County. The potential benefits of home-sharing will be discusses, as well as common questions and concerns about home-sharing.

Summer Dance Camp for Seniors will be held over the course of 4 days on the front lawn at Macaulay House in Picton, from 10am - 11am Monday July 24th to Thursday July 27th. Carol Anderson, from Flight Festival is a longtime dance artist and movement educator. Join Carol for this series of Mindful Motion Series in July. Enjoy patterns of motion that promote fluidity and strength. Each day will offer a guided focus on an aspect of movement practice and dance - breath, flow, balance and connection. All seniors welcome! This series will cost $20 to attend all 4 days!

Christmas in July - curbside pickup meal for seniors on July 27th, 2023 – picked up in Ameliasburgh
It’s Christmas in July for Community Care’s July curbside pick-up meal. This event is on Thursday, July 27th, 2023. Chef Bill Grieve of Wheelhouse and Occasions Catering is preparing a scrumptious Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The meal includes homemade soup, a roll, roast turkey with dressing, cranberry sauce, seasonal vegetables, and pumpkin pie. The cost is $18.00/meal and seniors 60+ can order by calling the Community Care office at 613-476-7493. All meals must be paid for in advance. Meals will be packaged hot and ready to be picked up at Ameliasburgh Town Hall, 13 Coleman Street, Ameliasburgh. Only those who preorder and pay will be served.
