Kingston and District Branch, United Empire Loyalists’ Association of Canada will meet on Saturday, February 24 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall, 137 Queen Street (doors open at noon); or if you prefer on Zoom (open at 12:30 p.m.). Dr. Tim Compeau will discuss “Joel Stone, founder of Gananoque”. A summer job at age 19 gave Dr. Compeau the privilege of archiving a suitcase full of letters from Loyalist Joel Stone (1749-1833) and started his pursuit of a career as a history professor. For the Zoom link for the meeting, visit the website www.uelac.org/Kingston-Branch. All with an interest in Canadian history are welcome!

This special presentation is a fine arts-based project featuring original paintings that are accompanied with historical information and fact-filled panels that lead visitors on their quest to learn more. QR codes on each sectional panel create a seamless way to further engage and increase the learning experience.
