An event to enrich lives, cultivate connections, and thrive as one community.
Huntsville will welcome the eagerly anticipated Muskoka Healthy Living Expo, scheduled for Thursday, October 19th, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Active Living Centre at 20 Park Drive, Huntsville, ON. This event will unite adults of all ages, encouraging an environment of healthy living through community connections and invaluable resources.
The Healthy Living Expo was born from Muskoka Seniors’ understanding of the diverse needs of Huntsville’s residents. “We regularly receive calls from active adults, children or caregivers, and community partners looking for various services to meet many needs. It’s hard to keep up with who to call and where to go, and it can quickly become overwhelming. We want to create an opportunity for like-minded businesses and organizations to come together as one community to share what is available in your backyard,” says Jenn Pfrimmer, Executive Director of Muskoka Seniors.
Mountsberg Conservation Area’s Spooktacular Halloween promises a hauntingly good time for the whole family! Operating Friday to Sunday evenings October 6th to October 29th, 2023, the event transforms Mountsberg into a celebration of all things that go bump in the night, both natural and supernatural! There are no jump scares at this kid-friendly event. The Haunted Barn is full of fun ghosts, witches, and even a mad scientist’s lair! The spooky attractions spill out onto a lighted trail through the forest, from a kraken infested pirate ship to giant plants and animals in the Invasive Zone, new ghostly apparitions appear around every corner. What makes this Halloween tradition truly unique is Mountsberg’s resident animal ambassadors and cozy outdoor vibe. Snakes, owls, and farm animals make special appearances and guests can snuggle up by a campfire with a hot apple cider or simply enjoy a night out under the stars in the crisp autumn air. Guests are encouraged to arrive in costume and take part in the park wide scavenger hunt to win delicious Halloween treats. Horse-drawn wagon rides with one of Mountsberg’s entertaining staff are available for an additional fee. Wagon ride tickets are limited, and a tractor may be used during inclement weather. Furry four-legged friends are also welcome; however, dogs must remain on leash and away from Mountsberg’s live animals.
Tickets are required for Mountsberg’s Spooktacular Halloween.
