Karen Knight on September 19, 2023 to present on "Advocating to Your Board".  In this interactive workshop, we will cover (and practice!) simple skills for presenting, negotiating, and finalizing proposals that will finally "get you a seat at the table". You'll learn:

  • What you need to do to prepare to speak to the Board;
  • Tips for looking strong and confident (even if you don't feel that way);
  • What to say (and not to say) during the presentation:
  • How to negotiate when there is push back; and
  • How to ensure that what is agreed-upon is followed through.

20th Antiques & Vintage Show and Sale at Mackenzie Hall

October 14 and 15, 2023

Mackenzie Hall is recognized by vendors and collectors as the ideal location for an antique and vintage showcase and sale.  The historic location and general ambience has made this annual event, (interrupted by Covid) very special indeed.  Organized by the volunteers of Friends of the Court, it is THE most anticipated show and sale in our area. 

This year's event will take place Saturday October 14 from 10 to 5 and Sunday October 15 from 10 to 4

The space will be brimming with furniture, collectibles, vintage clothing, jewelry, coins and treasures, items from grandmother's day and other sparkling items.  Light refreshments will be available for purchase.

Admission is $5 daily.

Community Event - Cornwall - St. Francis de Sales Knights Roast Beef Dinner

St. Francis de Sales Knights of Columbus Council will be serving their next Community Roast Beef Dinner on Thursday, September 14th in the St. Francis de Sales Parish Hall (434 Second St. W.) from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Complete dinner including coleslaw, dinner roll, roast beef entrée, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dessert and beverage. All are welcome. Fully accessible hall with elevator service provided. Adults $15.00 and under 12 years $5.00.

These Community Roast Beef Dinners are held to raise funds in support of the Knights of Columbus Council's charitable programs in the Cornwall community.
