Join Callander Fire & Emergency Services in Callander's Centennial Park on Saturday August 17th beginning at 10am, and concluding with a free movie in the park screening of Disney/Pixar's "Elemental". Free activites and education in the park throughout the entire day.

Come enjoy potentially great viewing conditions for the "2024 - Perseid Meteor Shower Event" with the Peterborough Astronomical Association (PAA). This free, public, all age's event will potentially offer telescopic views of Saturn, star clusters, nebula, galaxies and much more, from the Harold Town Conservation Area, 3.5km east of Television Road, on the Old Norwood Road, Saturday, August 12th, 9:00 p.m. until after midnight (weather permitting). There is lots of parking and washrooms are available too. Dress appropriately for the weather and temperature. This is a weather dependent event.
