Come enjoy potentially great viewing conditions for the "2024 - Perseid Meteor Shower Event" with the Peterborough Astronomical Association (PAA). This free, public, all age's event will potentially offer telescopic views of Saturn, star clusters, nebula, galaxies and much more, from the Harold Town Conservation Area, 3.5km east of Television Road, on the Old Norwood Road, Saturday, August 12th, 9:00 p.m. until after midnight (weather permitting). There is lots of parking and washrooms are available too. Dress appropriately for the weather and temperature. This is a weather dependent event. If the skies are cloudy & precipitating, the event will be cancelled that evening. Be sure to check the PAA website or Facebook page for updates on the status of this event.
