The 54th annual Quinte Rotary Music Festival returns April 8-12!  A partnership between the Rotary Clubs of Belleville, Trenton, and Quinte Sunrise creates the opportunity to showcase the musical talents of youth in our community.  The passion, dedication and commitment of the participants is clearly evident in the excellence of their performances.  It is a testimony to the importance of music in their lives.

The "Concert of Stars" gala with the musical highlights of the Festival will be held at Marantha Church on College St. W. on May 1.

Orchestra Kingston presents: "Showcasing Our Own" - A Musical Extravaganza at The Spire, on February 25, 2024 at 2:30 pm. As the winter season unfolds, Orchestra Kingston is thrilled to invite audiences to the third concert of their 15th season. 

 

This unique event will be a celebration of local talent, showcasing the orchestra's own members, and highlighting the extraordinary skills and artistry within our community. Selections include Franz Josef Strauss’s Horn Concerto op. 8 in C minor, with soloist Cory van Allen; Vaughan-Williams’ English Folk Song Suite; Orchestra Kingston President Daniel McConnachie’s original orchestral composition Righle; and music by Bizet, Sibelius, and Warlock. In celebration of Orchestra Kingston’s 15 years as Kingston’s community orchestra, join us for an afternoon celebrating our own musicians!

 

Tickets are available online at orchestrakingston.ca, in-person at Arden’s Music and Novel Idea, or at the door. Adults $25, Senior & Student $20, 16 & under free.

Community Event - Cornwall - Transition into Spring returns March 16th!

A celebration of gardening, food, sustainability, community and all things Spring! This event will include exhibits from seed vendors, local artists and craftspeople, community, environmental, and home gardening groups, and local farmers’ markets. We will have several swap tables available, our famous "Ask A Gardener/Ask an Expert" area, and several hands-on garden and children's activities throughout the space. A series of presentations & workshops will also be offered!  March 16th from 10:30am to 2pm at the Benson Centre.  Family-friendly, free admission.
