Backyard Composting 101 Workshop Wed Aug 16

Ready to give backyard composting a try and need help getting started? 

Join us over by REAL’s Demo Compost Site on Wednesday,. August 16 at 6:30pm. 

Tristan O’Reilly will explain the basics of composting, how to avoid problems, how to use it in your garden and more!

A full course luncheon event on Wednesday, Sep 6 from 12-2pm at the Legion Hall. Choice of sandwiches salmon and egg salad. Musical entertainment by Aerik Watson. Tickets $11 available from Seniors at Home office until Friday Sep 1. All seniors and adults with disabilities welcome.

IODE Margaret Stokes Chapter Petrolia are hosting Quilted Treasures on September 15 from 10-5 and September 16 from 10-4 at Christ Church Anglican, 414 Oil Street in Petrolia.

Besides all the gorgeous quilts on display there will be many unique vendors in the Merchant Mall, quilting demonstrations, a cafe by Christ Church Anglican. There is a Trunk Show on Friday at 2:00 by Three Sisters Quilting. New this year is the “Quilters Garage Sale” filled with fabrics, unfinished projects, quilting supplies, patterns and much more. Donations for the Quilters Garage Sale are graciously accepted.

Get ready for a Washer Toss Tournament on the beach at Hotel Pontiac, "The Fort!"
