‘Jazz on the Plaza’ has become a highly anticipated annual community event, showcasing a series of emerging and established Canadian musicians in an al fresco setting. The Burlington Performing Arts Centre Outdoor Plaza, at the corner of Elgin St. and Locust St., attracts thousands of residents to gather and enjoy the sounds of award-winning musicians.  For more than 8 years, BPAC has been pleased to present free music to the community!

Community Event - Niagara - Face It: Nancy Wardle Aug. 8-27, Niagara Pumphouse

The captivating and thought-provoking portraits by Niagara-on-the-Lake artist Nancy Wardle will be on display in the Joyner Gallery of the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre from August 8th to 27th, 2023. 

Wardle is a portrait painter capturing emotions and personalities with the use of vivid colours using both oils and acrylics. Her exhibit focuses on the themes of happiness, resilience, hope and the human spirit.

Join us on Sunday, August 13th from 2:00-4:00 pm for an opening reception and an opportunity to meet the artist in person. Admire the paintings over nibbles and refreshments with other art appreciators. Remarks at approximately 2:30 p.m.
