The Milton Council of the Knights of Columbus are once again having a Valentine Dinner and Dance in support of the Townsend Smith Foundation (TSF). Established in 2012, the TSF is a charitable organization working to build the first residential hospice in North Halton.
Hospice care supports people at the end of their lives, combining medical support with the comfort of a homelike environment. It is aimed at improving the qualify of life for people with a life expectancy of three months or less, providing support to them and their family.
Getting a residential hospice project off the ground takes time and money. A dedicated group of volunteers and community support is bringing this monumental project forward. The foundation has secured a property for the first residential hospice at Trafalgar Road and 5 Side Road, Halton Hills, where the Hillcrest United Church currently stands. We are excited for what comes next in the process of bringing the hospice into a reality. For more information about TSF and their efforts, you can visit their website at (townsend-smith.ca).
We invite you to join us for a wonderful evening of great food, music, door prizes and silent auction items. For more information, to order tickets or to provide a door prize or sponsorship go to www.holyrosaryknights.ca/valentines-gala
