The Kawartha String Orchestra is seeking new members (on violin, viola, cello and bass) for its spring 2024 season.
The KSO is an intermediate-level community string orchestra located in Peterborough. No auditions are necessary.
Under the leadership of conductor and music director Tak Kwan, the Kawartha String Orchestra plays a variety of genres, ranging from classical to folk to movie themes and more.
Rehearsals are held Wednesday mornings at Mark Street United Church on Hunter Street East in East City, culminating in two annual concerts in November and May to raise money for local charities, such as Kawartha Food Share.

The Reading Buddies program at the Chatham Branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library provides FREE one-on-one reading support for children in grade 1 to 6. The program is a 6-week commitment and starts Monday January 15.
