Are you looking for a special way to begin your holiday celebrations this year? Or are you looking for a gift for a special friend or relative that is hard to buy for? Treat everyone to an evening out and get into the holiday spirit as you watch the all-time classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” presented as a 1940’s style live radio show. Watch and listen as this story unfolds right in front of you. Your ticket will include refreshments which will be available before and after the performance. Wine will also be available for purchase.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Annual Christmas Bazaar, 4401 Mount Royal Drive, will be held on Saturday, December 2, 9am to 2pm. We will have delicious food available at our Corner Cafe, homemade baked goods and pies, handmade quilts, handmade knitted, crocheted and sewn items, Christmas items, books, puzzles and household items. All proceeds are donated to the various charities we support! Looking forward to seeing you there!

The Sarnia Shoebox Project is in its 6th year collecting items to fill shoexboxes for women in local shelters for Christmas.  NEW items like scarves, gloves, candy, chocolate, make up, lotion can be dropped off at Sarnia Golf and Curling Club, MPP Bailey's office, Fuzion Hair Concepts, Norton Hairstyling and the Sarnia Shoebox.

Join local historian Stuart Lyall Manson as he relates the histories of Eastern Ontario's earliest cemeteries, focusing on the content in the recently-published second volume of his book series Sacred Ground: Loyalist Cemeteries of Eastern Ontario. After his presentation he will answer questions and both volumes of his book series will be available for sale.  Join us on November 30th from 6:30pm - 8:15pm.

Celebrate the Season with Orchestra Kingston: A Festive Holiday Concert for the Whole Community!

As the holiday season approaches, Orchestra Kingston is delighted to extend a warm invitation for an afternoon of “Holiday Magic” on December 10, 2023, 2:30 pm at The Spire. This joyous event promises to be a musical celebration that will captivate audiences of all ages.

The concert will feature the talented musicians of Orchestra Kingston, as well as the singers of Kingston Capital Men’s Chorus, performing a delightful repertoire of holiday classics, including Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, Anderson’s perennially popular Sleigh Ride, and Palmer’s Hanukkah Medley. Audiences will also be invited to sing along to some holiday favourites! From cherished carols to uplifting symphonic arrangements, the program is designed to evoke the spirit of the holidays and spread festive cheer. 

Tickets are available online at orchestrakingston.ca, in-person at Arden’s Music and Novel Idea, or at the door. Adults $25, Senior & Student $20, 16 & under free.
