“Free Ancestry - 101” – On Tuesday, October 1st, the Nipissing District Branch of Ontario Ancestors, the Ontario Genealogical Society, will be hosting a talk on what information is available from the Ancestry Library Edition, free at all of the local libraries. The presentation will be given by Mary Heasman in Nipissing Branch’s genealogical library on the upstairs mezzanine, North Bay Public Library, 271 Worthington Street East, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We will also be having door prizes of an Ancestry DNA Kit as well as an Ancestry.ca World Deluxe Year’s Subscription. Community Event - Niagara - Monroe Plaza Customer Appreciation Charity BBQ

Join us at our Customer Appreciation Charity Barbecue on Saturday August 24th at our Niagara Falls location! We will be providing delicious food cooked on our cooking salt blocks, tours of our facility, paid by donation Salt Cave sessions and other holistic treatments at a discounted rate!

Bring your little ones for face painting and story time in the Salt Cave at 11am!

Williams Cafe will be providing paid by donation coffee and 7 Eleven will be supplying cookies. There will also be many raffle prizes to bid on provided by The Healing Salt Cave, Williams Cafe, Maple Family Dentistry, Naturally Healthy Health Food Store, Hearing Life, the UPS Store, and more!

A portion of the proceeds will be going to Liberty for Youth who will be attending the charity barbecue! Liberty for Youth will be offering games and prizes for attendees.

Open house is from 10am - 2pm. Barbecue begins at 11am! The first 50 guests to arrive will receive goody bags with lots of great surprises! The event will be covered by The River Radio!

Come join the Nipissing Township Museum in celebrating Heritage Day on August 18 between 11am-3pm. The theme this year is "Pioneer Days". You will be able to enjoy many demonstrations and activities related to the lives and trades of the early settlers that came to the Nipissing area. This includes a forger/blacksmith, a weaver, and of course tour the museum to learn more! There will also be an amazing Silent Auction, a Community BBQ hosted by the Nipissing Fire Department, and Live Music from the Powassan Jammers! We are located at 4363 Hwy 654, Nipissing, ON.
