Creative Fibres is a social circle for all fibre arts: knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, cross stich, embroidery, felt work, and more!
Creative Fibres meets every Wednesday at 5:30pm in the second floor cookbook Reading Nook.

Community Event - Kingston - The return of a Kingston audience favourite
Multi-instrumentalist maestros Quartetto Gelato will be appearing with the Kingston Symphony on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. at Kingston Grand Theatre in a Pops show for the ages. Their musical repertoire consists of a mix of classical masterworks with tangos, gypsy, klezmer, jazz, and folk songs from around the world. There are always elements of humour and dance in an electric Quartetto Gelato performance. See virtuosic showpieces and romantic ballads, blazing Romani tunes and forgotten chestnuts, all brought to life by this Kingston audience favourite. Featuring Quartetto Gelato performing their newest and freshest tunes. Guaranteed to get you excited!

Engaging activities specially formulated for you and your baby, followed by free play. Enjoy a tickle and some bouncing, lots of songs and some board books.
Ages birth – 18 months. Mondays from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. First Floor Children’s Program Room. This is a drop-in program.

Community Event - Kingston - A dazzling reimagining of Hindemith's Flute Sonata
On Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at The Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts, the Kingston Symphony presents the fourth Masterworks concert of the season, Hindemith & Haydn. Our own Principal Flute, Amelia Lyon, will dazzle you with a reimagining of Hindemith's Flute Sonata, newly orchestrated for flute and strings. This concert features music which showcases the different sides of composers - like Respighi, Wagner, and Haydn - and how multifaceted they can be, reflecting the variety of their compositional personalities. Not to be missed!
