Due to the rising COVID-19 counts the decision has been made for the safety of clients, staff and volunteers to temporarily close the Golden Age Activity Centre effective immediately for the remainder of December and month of January 2022. Reopening will be reassessed with the hopes of a February opening.
Cracks, holes and uneven concrete on sidewalks can be dangerous.
If you see a sidewalk hazard, please call 3-1-1 or email ckpw@chatham-kent.ca.
What happens after I call or email?
We investigate the sidewalk concern.
We make temporary or permanent repairs as soon as possible.
We evaluate and schedule a sidewalk replacement if needed.
During the winter months, and especially in a pandemic, we tend to be more isolated.
Don’t be afraid to form your own virtual support network. It can be a family member, friend, neighbour or someone from a local organization offering services to seniors.
Keep an eye out for each other during the upcoming months.
Looking to get outside and active? Borrow a play pack for the family from CKPL! Check the link below and place your hold to pick up at your local branch.
This January let’s take advantage of the cold days and nights and have a wintertime art adventure. Join the CK Museum, in partnership with Chatham-Kent Public Library, to create a beautiful nature ice ornament that you can hang up outside. And while our ice works of art are freezing, let’s make some snow dough that we can play with for hours.
