Kindred Spirits, an exhibition by Father-Daughter Ron & Taylor Broda opens at Gallery in the Grove on June 10, 2023 from 11am-2pm with a Reception from 12-2pm.

Ron is a renowned children’s book illustrator and paper sculptor. Ron combines techniques in paper sculpture and watercolour to create vivid illustrations with great detail and realism.

Taylor is a Canadian artist and graduate from OCAD University in Toronto, Ontario and was and listed by BlogTO as one of the Top 25 Artists to Watch coming out of OCAD University. Taylor’s work is a self exploration of herself and identity while celebrating the odd and unusual in finding beauty in the less conventional. The individuals she depicts in her works strike a balance between androgyny and hyper femininity.

Regular Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday 2pm–5pm, Friday & Saturday 11am–2pm. Closed Sundays and holidays. Visit www.galleryinthegrove.com or 519-869-4643

Children play acted by children... The indomitable Puss acquires a pair of magic boots belonging to an evil, shape shifting ogre. He uses them (and his wits) to bring fortune, an enchanted castle, and a princess bride to his beloved master, Jack, whom he fashions as the Marquis of Carabas as part of his clever scheme. Give your whole family a summertime treat with this most excellent adaptation of the classic fairy tale.
