The McGaughey Organ Prize Recital is a free annual event to support musicians studying the Pipe Organ at a post graduate level. This year, our prize recipient is Samuel Lee, graduate of McGill University for Organ Performance and currently a doctoral candidate at McGill studying organ performance with Isabelle Demers. Mr. Lee is a multiple prize-winning organist. He is passionate about music, especially the grandiose sound and atmosphere created by an organ.

The concert is being held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 28 Second Street East.  Starting at 7pm.

CFUW St. Catharines is hosting their 49th Annual House and Garden Tour Sunday, May 28th. The Tour features five very unique properties and gardens with complimentary refreshments for only $30.  Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite. The goal is to raise $14,000 for post-secondary scholarships for young women, and local agencies that support women and children.

Complimentary refreshments will be served at Rodman Hall Boutique Hotel and Events Centre.

Oakville Galleries Presents... Woven Prints with Anne Devitt

Thursdays, 15 + 22 June 2023 | 5:00 – 8:00 PM

Members $38.25 | Non-Members $45.00 / PER SESSION

In this two-week class participants will experiment with printmaking and paper weaving. Led by our guest artist Anne Devitt, simple images or ideas will be re-imagined through printmaking techniques and weaving.

During the first week, you will explore relief printmaking methods. You will learn the basics of how to print with lino blocks on paper and experiment with different mark-making techniques.

In the second week, you will then explore altering the image using the weaving process. Manipulating your printed materials from the previous week you will create something new and tell a new story by weaving your materials together.

Beginners are welcome, as well as those with experience in the medium. Carving tools, brayers, lino blocks, inks, and paper will be provided, just bring yourself and we’ll prepare the rest!

A night of Music, Charcuterie and Friends at the Kingston Grand Theatre!
