Since 1987, the “Boys’ Home Run” has been a feature of Bright’s Grove every Father’s Day. It has grown to include a 10k timed road race, a 5k timed run, a 5k walk, a 7k rollerblade, 7k, 20k and 40k bicycle rides, and free onsite fun for children 4 - 10 known as Jr. Adrenaline Trail. All participants get a free pancake and sausage breakfast and spectators are able to purchase a meal for a small cost.
St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, 88 Patrick Street, is hosting a fundraiser for the 80th Anniversary of the Catholic Women’s League, to be held on Saturday, May 28 from 10:00-3:00 in the back parking lot of the church. If it is raining, we will move into the basement of the church. There will be an assortment of books, plants and baked goods. If parishioners wish to help by donating books, plants or bakery items, please drop them off on Friday, May 27th from 10:00-2:00 in church basement. All are welcome! Bring your friends!
