Community Event - Windsor/Leamington - The Legacy of Residential Schools
“The Legacy of Residential Schools” is one of four separate short programs within the series We Are Not a Phase. Jay Jones will lead the talk and discuss the intergenerational impacts of the Residential School system. The event will be held on Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th: a day to consider the complexities and the devastating impact of the Residential school system on Indigenous peoples and their communities.
We Are Not a Phase: Indigenous Screening Series + Talks aim to engage and gather the University community and those outside to experience film and discussions reflecting on Indigeneity and to honour community initiatives that are Indigenous led.
