At the request of the City of Windsor, the Windsor Port Authority has once again authorized a temporary 30-day buffer zone of 30 metres for all motorized watercraft moving along the Windsor shoreline of the Detroit River. This means, effective immediately, no motorized watercraft can operate within 30 metres of shore unless docking.

The 30-metre ban was also imposed during last year’s extremely high water levels and is an effort aimed at protecting properties from overland flooding and erosion.

Oshawa author Shane Christensen published an inspirational memoir that was released in February 2020.  Everything started fantastic and the book was doing great when Covid-19 effectively shut everything down.

Shane decided to post free audible chapters of the book on YouTube and his kickingthedarkness.com website.  The book chronicles a lifetime of adversity and makes a compelling statement that it is important to never give up hope for a better tomorrow.

The message is even more profound in light of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
