Splash Pad fundraising campaign official launch. Featuring the North Bay Fire & Emergency Services (aerial truck, misting tent, water sprinkler); inflatables; water games; Mayoralty Dunk Tank (3 candidates confirmed to date); and unveiling of the Splash Pad sign.

In partnership with Windsor Police Services, Unemployed Help Centre, New Beginnings and the Multicultural Council, Windsor Fire and Rescue Services celebrates their 2nd Annual Diversity BBQ on Saturday, August 25 from 11am to 2pm at Lanspeary Park, Ottawa at Langlois.
There will be a free BBQ with all the trimmings, and this year there will be more than 20 organizations in attendance providing free giveaways. There will also be cultural dance performances, activities, and more.
The Welland Eastdale Alumni will meet Wednesday September 5 @ 7pm in the school library. Past and present students are invited to attend.
FREE OPEN HOUSE at "The Swinging B's" Modern Square Dance Club. Drop in and experience an introduction to easy, modern square dancing. No dance skills needed, no partner required, casual dress, everyone welcome. Fun, non competitive, team activity. We are a non profit dance club.
The Jocko Point Community Centre will host a Brunch buffet on September 2 from 8:30 to 10:30. Buffet includes usual breakfast items plus salads, hot lunch dishes, desserts and coffee or tea. Adults: $10. Children 7-12: $5. Children 6 and under: free. Location: 1082 Jocko Point Road (Fire Hall and Community Centre), between North Bay and Sturgeon Falls, about 3 km south of Highway 17. Note: the Nipissing First Nation Powwow will take place at the end of Jocko Point Road on Sept. 1, 2 and 3.
Get ready for a day of mud, sweat and cheers in Kingston! The Mudmoiselle obstacle course is a 5 km stretch of Kingston's muckiest, filthiest, slimiest mud. It’s where your inner child runs free over a mix of terrain while testing your endurance, strength and ability to keep a straight face. Go the extra muddy mile and reach the minimum $150 fundraising goal and then some! All proceeds benefit the Canadian Cancer Society to fund the most promising cancer research in Canada, and provide vital support services to those living with cancer in our community.
Want to give your kids a challenge while getting some exercise outside? Youth 5-12yrs can participate in their very own Mini Mudster 1km course starting 10:00am - 12:00pm with a random draw for prizing for those Mudsters who meet the minimum fundraising amounts ane up!
