Dancing in a circle is an ancient spiritual tradition for marking special occasions and strengthening community. The Spirit is present as the group moves their bodies to the music while holding hands. Participants experience the energy of the circle and the meditative nature of the dance because of the repetition of the steps.
Our facilitator is Kelly Van Raalte who has led Sacred Circle Dance since 1999 in Canada, South America and France. She first learned Sacred Dance at Findhorn, Scotland.
Wear comfy clothing, bring a snack to share, by donation only. No previous dance experience necessary. All welcome!
Bob & John Chapman, members of the North Bay Astronomy Club will do an indoor presentation, then take us out to look through their telescopes. This event will happen whether it is a clear sky or not! Refreshments by donation. Everyone welcome.
