   The Volunteers of Hutchison House Museum are hosting an elegant Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea on Sunday May 12th, starting at 2:00pm to celebrate this special occasion. A light lunch of delicious savories, sweets and tea will be served in the historic Keeping Room by firelight. Tickets for the event are $30 each and pre-registration is required as seating is limited.  Please register by May 10th at 5pm. Kingston and District Branch, United Empire Loyalists’ Association of Canada (UELAC) will meet on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. at St Paul’s Anglican Church Hall, 137 Queen Street (doors open at noon); or if you prefer on Zoom (open at 12:30 p.m.).  Jo Ann Tuskin will speak on “Early Loyalists of Ontario:  Who, Where, and Why”, including historic maps.  Jo Ann is the longstanding Dominion Secretary of the UELAC, and active in genealogy.  For the Zoom link for the meeting, visit the website www.uelac.org/Kingston-Branch .  All with an interest in Canadian history are welcome!
