Join us for our annual Shoreline Cleanup Sat. May 4. . Meet  at 10 a.m. at the Bascule Bridge or at 1 p.m. at the Jasper Road boat launch, rain or shine.  Dress appropriately and bring gloves, we'll bring the bags.  If there are sufficient volunteers we can split up to do other nearby sites.  Pre-register with Joanne at (613) 447-6709 or PitchIn SF@REALaction.ca.    See www.REALaction.ca for more.

Come join other residents for Pitch-In Smiths Falls, an annual community litter cleanup.  We encourage individuals and groups to commit to cleaning up a particular site during the two week period.  Supplies will be available at the REAL Deal Store starting Wed. April 10.  We’ll wind up Pitch In with a shoreline cleanup, on Saturday, May 4, that we'll do together.   See www.REALaction.ca for more!

Community Event - Smiths Falls/Perth/North Grenville - Volunteers Needed for Mini Forest Prep April 13

REAL is planting a mini forest at Corbett Park this year.  On Sat. April 13 we will be preparing the forest floor by putting down layers of cardboard, leaves, compost and woodchips.  We are looking for adults and teens (accompanied by a parent) to help shovel, rake and wheelbarrow the floor components into place.  If you can volunteer for one and a half hours, contact Dave at  thornley.j.d@gmail.com or 613-205-0320.  Can’t come?  The planting will be taking place in the fall, when we be looking for help also.  See www.REALaction.ca for more.

We offer activities, events, workshops, support groups, counselling led by mental health professionals, and opportunities to build the village every parent needs to thrive.
