Come join other residents for Pitch-In Smiths Falls, an annual community litter cleanup.  We encourage individuals and groups to commit to cleaning up a particular site during the two week period.  Supplies will be available at the REAL Deal Store starting Wed. REAL is planting a mini forest at Corbett Park this year.  On Sat. April 13 we will be preparing the forest floor by putting down layers of cardboard, leaves, compost and woodchips.  We are looking for adults and teens (accompanied by a parent) to help shovel, rake and wheelbarrow the floor components into place.  If you can volunteer for one and a half hours, contact Dave at  thornley.j.d@gmail.com or 613-205-0320.  Can’t come?  The planting will be taking place in the fall, when we be looking for help also.  See www.REALaction.ca for more.
