Attention Kingston-area readers: Circle Thursday, September 7, 2023 on your calendars! That’s opening day of the wildly popular, not-to-be-missed annual Book Fair presented by the Kingston Symphony Volunteers.

When: Thursday, September 7 to Sunday, September 17, 2023
Where: Kingston Symphony Warehouse at 785 Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard, Unit 7A.

Opening Night: Early Bird tickets will be available for $20, giving you access to the sale from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on opening night only. A total of 50 Early Bird tickets will be sold online at store.kingstonsymphony.ca. When the sale officially starts at 4:30 p.m., admission will be $5 (tickets at the door). Entry is free for all other days of the sale.

One of Kingston’s hidden gems, the Kingston Symphony Warehouse is overflowing with thousands of paperbacks and hard-cover books that have been quality checked and sorted by dozens of volunteers. As well as the usual broad selection of categories, this year’s sale also features:

- A huge sci-fi/fantasy section
- Many, many $2 books, including:
  All pocketbooks
  Older fiction and mysteries
  Short story collections
Classics, in editions published before 2000

"In addition to our typically strong sections of mystery, fiction, and Canadiana, we have an unusually large collection of classic sci-fi as well as fantasy and horror this year,” said Tom Pynn, co-chair of the Book Fair. "With more books available than ever before, you will love perusing the selection."
