Gillian’s Place is excited to announce Walk a Mile in HER Shoes at the Pen Centre. Are you man enough? Prove it on Saturday October 14th and join the men's march to end violence against women.

Walk a Mile in HER Shoes is a symbolic march that gives men and male-identifying allies the opportunity to take a stand against violence against women. We are abundantly grateful to our corporate sponsors, walkers, ambassadors, and donors, who over the past 17 years have helped raise over $1,390,000 for Gillian’s Place. Beyond raising vital funds for Gillian’s Place, the men’s march has helped spread awareness about violence against women in Niagara, and beyond.

Gillian’s Place needs Niagara’s male and male-identifying allies to rally and march to end violence against women this October. By walking and/or donating, you are raising awareness and ensuring that practical and compassionate services are there when protection and support is needed most.

Public Notices/Announcements - Muskoka - "Bands On The Bay" James Gray

A free concert overlooking the bay? This is The Thing To Do on a summer Tuesday evening! Performances are held outside on our bayside deck, or inside in case of rain from June to August. Domino’s Pizza Parry Sound will be on-site selling pizza, accompanied by The Stockey Centre’s licensed cash bar.

About James:

James Gray is a contemporary version of an old-school traveling folk singer. Over the years James has been crisscrossing Canada, Europe and Australia in pursuit of seeing the world and entertaining folks along the way. James now has ten tours on three different continents under his belt and is just getting started.

A unique finger style guitarist, with a vocal that is hauntingly beautiful, Gray, often accompanied by a rather droll, humorous stage patter, immerses himself in each and every song with a soulfulness and attack that is infectious and disarming. With a broad grin and good natured chuckle, Gray will often smile into the microphone and state matter of factly that he wants you to remember who he is.
