2023 Theatre Workshop

Attend this 5 week workshop, starting June 13th, and take an active role, either onstage or backstage, in a performance to be held on August 12th. Attendance is limited to 20 participants, and with sufficient demand, a parallel workshop will be offered starting June 15th, with a performance on August 10th.
This workshop is designed for adults to learn how live theatre is created, starting from the selection of a play, and continuing through to a live performance in front of an audience.
Participants will have the opportunity to experience all aspects of the creative process.

Cost to participate is $25.00, and includes all materials, as well as a one year membership to Theatre Burlington.

FIREWORKS FROM THE ROOFTOP: SATURDAY, JULY 1
Spend an evening on Joseph Brant Museum's Rooftop Terrace enjoying food, drinks, live music, and a premier view of Burlington's Canada Day Fireworks! Join us for Fireworks from the Rooftop at Joseph Brant Museum on July 1, 2023 from 7:30pm-10:30pm. Guests will enjoy classic Canadian treats such as pizza and donuts, and beverages including Steam Whistle Pilsner and sangria. There will be giant lawn games available to play and live music throughout the evening from local musicians Annie Bonsignore (7:30 – 8:30) and Dan Taylor (8:45-9:45). The evening will end with the City of Burlington’s Canada Day Fireworks at 10pm.
Tickets are $45/person ($40/members) and include pizza, donuts, and a drink ticket. Cash bar available. This is a 19+ event. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for the fireworks.

Community Event - Quinte - Westminster Pancake Breakfast/Brunch POSTPONED
Sidney Westminster United Church, 1199 Wallbridge Loyalist Rd.. K8N 4Z5 has POSTPONED the Pancake Breakfast/Brunch & Bake Sale at our location from Saturday, June 10th, 2023 UNTIL FALL 2023. DATE TO BE DETERMINED.
It will include pancakes, bacon, ham, eggs, hash browns, brown beans, toast, coffee, tea, orange juice and fruit cocktail.
The cost is $18.00 for Adults, $10.00 for 6-12 year olds and free under age 6.
Tickets may be purchased from the church Tuesday-Friday from 9:30 am-12:30 pm and they will also be available at the door.
We have handicapped access, an elevator and lots of parking.

FILM SCREENING: WINGS OVER WATER
Attend a film screening of “Wings Over Water” at Joseph Brant Museum to learn about the migration of birds across North America’s prairie wetlands. The film explores the epic journeys of three amazing bird families – the Sandhill Crane, the Yellow Warbler and the Mallard Duck – with extraordinary footage of their fascinating behaviors.
Tickets are $12/adult, $10/children (12 and under) and include admission to Joseph Brant Museum, complimentary popcorn, and light refreshments. Doors open at 6pm to view the exhibit “Canada’s Waterscapes.” Film begins at 7pm, rated PG. Click here to view trailer.
