Saturdays at 7 at St. Andrew's presents the Ottawa Guitar Trio, a dynamic classical guitar ensemble which brings themes from movie soundtracks, video games, classical repertoire and classical guitar originals to life. The concert will be presented to live and virtual audiences. Tickets are not required for the live audience. The virtual concert will be streamed via Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/standrews/live. Join Lighthouse for Grieving Children and Families for the annual Run4Lighthouse fundraiser on Saturday May 28th. Funds raised helps to ensure that Lighthouse grief support services remain free for families who need them, in Halton, Hamilton, Peel, and beyond. Lighthouse offers in-person and online grief support groups for children and youth who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or close friend.

IN-PERSON - Saturday May 28, 2022 at St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre, Oakville. Walk or run a 1K or 5K route.

  • 5K: starts @ 9:00am
  • 1K: starts @ 9:30am

VIRTUAL - Set your own goal and choose to walk, run, paddle, swim, ride, etc. This can be completed any time and anywhere.

The BPL Writers’ Collective is returning for in-person meetings! The Collective will meet on the last Thursday evening of the month in the Library’s 2nd floor Board Room. Join other writers to chat about your work, get ideas, and gain insight on how to improve your writing. Writers’ groups are a great place to encourage yourself and others to meet your writing goals, whether you’re writing fiction or nonfiction.

You want to hit the trail but you are not sure how to get started. This course is for the novice, Open to members and non-members.

Guidance on where to begin, what to wear, what to take along and safety issues. Learn about Canada’s oldest and longest footpath, the 900km Bruce Trail that runs along the Niagara Escarpment.

Combination workshop/Q&A followed by a short hike along the trail.

cost: members $30, non-members $40. Upon completion of all three sessions, participants receive a NBTC neck scarf free ($15 value)

Curlers from across the province are competing for the opportunity to represent Ontario at the November 2022 National Championship for mixed and senior mixed (over 50).  Wednesday mid-day to Sunday afternoon, several games per day.
