Members of the Anglican Parish of All Saints South Grenville (St. Paul's, Cardinal, St.
John The Evangelist in Prescott and St. James in Maitland) will be accepting donations
from the wider community to assist the people of Ukraine who are currently suffering
under a brutal invasion of their country. In the Cardinal area the contact is Mary
Munnings, 613-341-7248 munningsmk@gmail.com. In the Prescott area contact
George or Barbara Vail 613-925-5513 vailbarbara67@gmail.com. St. James hall on
Church Street in Maitland (next to the Augusta Twp. Fire Hall) will be open from 9:00
a.m until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26th to accept donations of medical and
personal care products.. The Parish is partnering with a group at St.James Anglican
church in Perth, Ontario. All donations will be sent to a Ukrainian organization in Ottawa
for shipment to the war torn area.. Regardless of how events unfold over the next few
weeks, these supplies will be very much needed by refugees and those inside Ukraine
who are able to access them. The following is a suggested list of items that would be
helpful:
Bandaids (various sizes);
Peroxide,
Rubbing Alcohol,
Non-prescription drugs- Tylenol, Advil (adult & childrens), cold & allergy medications,
antiseptics & salves, ant-acids, etc. (brand names or generic are fine)
Toothbrushes (adult & child)
Toothpaste,
Disposable razors
Powdered baby food
Baby diapers (various sizes)
Feminine napkins/tampons
Depends for seniors
Medical tape, gauze, cotton, sterile bandages (all sizes)
Shampoo, hand soap, deodorant
In addition- many people who have Home Care while recovering from surgery or other
health issues, may have medical items left over that they no longer need, cannot return
and don't know how to dispose of them. As long as they are unopened and sterile,
those items will also be accepted.
