New in 2022: A significant change to this year’s festival is the addition of a professional entertainment stage on Blockhouse Island. The headliner will be the “Shantyman”, Séan McCann, a founder of the iconic Canadian folk rock band “Great Big Sea”. Additional live entertainment will take the stage throughout the festival featuring local musicians. Entertainment around the festival grounds will include the Leeds County Draft Horse Club’s Touch-a-Horse display, and Capt'n Tor's theatrical pirate troupe, as well as other displays and vendors.

Our application to host the 2023 OFSAA Girls' Field Hockey Championship was recently approved, and we are looking for local sponsors.
This is an excellent opportunity to promote women in sport and showcase the town of Milton. If there is any way you would like to support us, it would be greatly appreciated.

Presented in partnership with the Burlington Mundialization Committee.
Nagata Shachu, based in Toronto, has enthralled audiences with its mesmerizing and heart-pounding performances of the Japanese drum (taiko) since its formation in 1998. The group has toured widely throughout Canada, the U.S., and Italy, in addition to major engagements in Lebanon and Mexico.
While rooted in the folk drumming traditions of Japan, the ensemble’s principal aim is to rejuvenate this ancient art form by producing innovative and exciting music that seeks to create a new voice for the taiko. Taking its name from founder Kiyoshi Nagata and the Japanese word shachu meaning group, Nagata Shachu has become renowned for its exacting, physically demanding, and energetic performances on the taiko. Their playing is the combination of unbounded spirit and passion with the highest levels of musicianship and discipline.
Featuring an arsenal of taiko (including the massive O-Daiko drum), bamboo flutes, the three-stringed shamisen and an array of gongs, cymbals, shakers and wood blocks, Nagata Shachu will take you on a musical journey beyond all borders.
Before the Nagata Shachu concert, join us for the Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Festival, a free event in the BPAC Lobby. Starting at 1:00pm, the Sakura Festival features live performances of Japanese song and dance to celebrate Japanese culture and Burlington’s twin city relationship with Itabashi, Japan.
Earlier, at 10:00am, also in the BPAC Lobby, join the Canada-Netherlands Friendship Day event, celebrating Canada’s historic relationship with the Netherlands and Burlington’s twin city relationship with Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
Both events are organized by the Burlington Mundialization Committee.
