The Bryerswood Optimist Club is offering a great alternative for Summer Camp.

The Next Best Thing Virtual Camp will run from Monday, July 19 to Friday, July 23 and will offer fun, social, interactive online activities and programs and lots of offline activities to try in your own backyard.

Learn about Building Your Own Shelter, Basic Knots, Nature Studies, Campsite Setup and Care, Staying Safe in the Outdoors and more

The self-guided Garden Tour will be held completely outdoors, so you can enjoy your tour of eight beautiful gardens in a safe and relaxing environment.

Four gardens are in Belleville and four are located across the Bay.

The current pandemic protocols will be respected, and attendees will receive a Tip Sheet with up to date information on the day of the tour, providing all of the last minute information and helpful hints to make your day a breeze.

Most people are able to recognize the outwardly visible physical effects of a stroke, however, there are many additional effects that the average person is not aware of. Have you had a stroke or know someone who has, Do you want to know more about the ‘Invisible’ Impacts of Stroke?

Join us virtually for an afternoon of information sharing to hear from regional experts on such topics as memory loss, depression, thinking changes after stroke, aphasia and more.

Dr. Duncan Day will begin this event with a keynote presentation on stroke’s invisible impacts followed by an afternoon with regional and provincial experts
