In celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day the Belleville Public Library is honoured to partner with FNTI and welcome artist, researcher and educator Simon Brascoupé, Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg. Simon will discuss the teachings of three books: Giving Thanks by Chief Jake Swamp, All Our Relations by Tanya Talaga, and Noopiming: The Cure for White Ladies by Leanne Betasamosake Simpson. We hope that you will join us in listening to Simon, to not only celebrate and appreciate Indigenous literature, but to gain an understanding of the diverse Indigenous experiences and cultures in Canada.

We strive to make a difference in the lives of abandoned, lost/found and stray animals in the City of Kawartha Lakes and beyond. We are now collecting wine, liquor, beer bottles/cans, wine bladders year round - anything that is returnable to the beer store! As with all our fundraisers, 100% of the funds goes directly towards the care of the animals we assist. meeting over computer, cellphone, tablet, iPhone, touchtone telephone
or smart phone, the 4th Wednesday of each month, 1pm to 2pm. This
program is 100% free.
This is a peer-led support group, with a March of Dimes Canada
Facilitator, and is completely private to those taking part in the
video-audio conference.
