Community Event - Niagara - Virtual Garden Tour Supports Women's Scholarships

Explore seven, beautiful, local gardens and hear two engaging presentations by Theresa Forte, popular garden columnist, and Paul Zammit, Professor of Horticulture at Niagara College, on the CFUW St. Catharines YouTube channel to raise funds for women's post-secondary scholarships. From June 19 to July 11 you can view these lovely and entertaining video tours and speakers from the comfort and safety of your home, as often as you wish over three weeks.  Tickets are $10.00 on Eventbrite at www.eventbrite.ca. Using interactive, hands-on activities to engage different learning styles, STEAM Ahead encourages children to explore STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fundamentals and includes an artistic (A) component to encourage creativity and innovation.

The regulations surrounding the pandemic have brought inspiration to Wellspring Niagara to create a bigger virtual fundraising challenge. While we can't meet up, physically, we look forward to the new successes that await us in this first ever March On Niagara

 

March On Niagara is a self-made challenge, celebrating going outdoors for the spring season in beautiful Niagara, that anyone can do because participants set the goal and task themselves. Participants choose a task, set a time or distance as your goal, do it as an individual or as a team, and raise funds for Wellspring Niagara’s cancer support programming.

The March On Niagara Challenge is presented by Colonial Florist and Meridian Credit Union!

 

 

What Kind Of Challenges Can I Do?

 

March On Niagara is a self-made challenge, celebrating going  outdoors for the spring season in beautiful Niagara, that anyone can  do because participants set the goal and task themselves.  Participants choose a task, set a time or distance as your goal, do it as an individual or as a team, and raise funds  for Wellspring Niagara’s cancer support programming.

Participants can WALK, RUN, HIKE, BIKE, SWIM or anything else to celebrate spring in Niagara and get their friends and family to show their support of them AND Wellspring Niagara.

Participants that complete their challenge goal and the $100 fundraising goal will receive a completion T-shirt and medal.  

Incentive prizes for TOP FUNDRAISERS and TOP TEAMS will be announced soon!
