The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit in collaboration with the local Stay On Your Feet coalition is bringing fall prevention conversations online. Information and weekly contest will be shared throughout the month of November on the Health Unit's Facebook Page and website. Each week will have a different theme. 

Each theme will allow participants an opportunity to be entered to win an exciting prize pack. Individuals who prefer to talk to someone about each theme can call 1-800-563-2808 ext. 5215 and be entered into the contest. For more information visit www.myhealthunit.ca/soyf

Community Event - North Bay - Christmas Giving for Metis Families

Due to Covid 19 restrictions for a Christmas gathering, the Council is providing Christmas Gift Bags for North Bay and area Metis families and children. 

Registration with a confirmation of a day for pickup is required. RSVP by: Friday November 20th, at 4:30pm.

Please provide: your name, citizenship number, number of family members along with age of your children if living at home with you

Location: North Bay Metis Nation of Ontario 156 McIntyre St. West

When: Saturday December 12 from 10am - 4pm

And: Sunday December 13 from 12pm

Starting Thursday, November 5 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the St. Catharines Market Square located at 91 King St. (home of the St. Catharines Farmers Market), will be hosting a 7 week series Winter at the Market. This Thursday Market running until December 17 features local artisans and small business bringing you a large variety of unique gift ideas for the upcoming holiday season. The Christmas Season is upon us, and Hutchison House Museum volunteers will host their annual Christmas Market on Saturday November 28 and Sunday November 29 from 10am-12pm. Due to COVID-19 the Market will look a little different this year. In addition to the Empire Cheese orders, we will be offering some of our most popular items for pre-ordering as well. While there will be some limited shopping available the day of, there will be a maximum of 4 visitors in the sale room at one time. Be sure to order ahead  to ensure that you get the items you hope for. There will be NO Attic Treasures or Christmas Items available this year. For Books in the Bookshop please see our website or call the museum office for availability.  Thank you for your patience. The Deadline for all advance orders is Friday November 13, 2020. In addition to the Christmas Market  Hutchison House volunteers will host a Snowflake Tea and Dessert on Saturday November 28 and Sunday November 29 with sittings at 1pm and 2:30pm. Enjoy a delicious dessert by the Fire in the Keeping Room for $10 each. There is limited seating and pre-registration and payment is required.  Items for sale at the Christmas Market will be available during the tea.
