Public Notices/Announcements - Niagara - Niagara Men's Chorus is Looking for a Few Good Men

Niagara Men’s Chorus is a non-denominational, non-profit, community- based male choir which was founded in 1988 and whose members come from throughout Niagara region to practice four part harmony, share fellowship and to put on concert performances. We are supported by a professional conductor/choral teacher and piano accompanist. We range in age from our twenties to well into our eighties (36 active choristers presently). Because the majority of us are seniors, we are starting to worry that we will start losing older members faster than we are recruiting new ones. I am afraid that community choirs no longer seem to be as popular as once they were but we are trying to keep the tradition alive. Succession planning is our biggest challenge. Potential members are invited to attend one of our regular Monday practices [7:30-9:30 PM] at Stamford Presbyterian Church, 3123 St. Paul Street, Niagara Falls. If you can carry a tune and like to sing we will find a place for you. Auditions are not required. For additional information, check out our website [niagaramenschorus.com] or contact Tony Jamestee at (905) 354-5523 or: tonyjamestee@gmail.com.
