Canada Day in Bright’s Grove is on Saturday June 22nd!

Schedule of Events

11:00am – Parade

NOTE: Due to construction on Waterworks Road our parade route this year will be different that normal.

Parade assembly this year, will be on the corner of Marion Avenue and Old Lakeshore Road, beside the Lakeshore Community Church.  Parade Assembly to begin at 10:30 am with the Parade starting at 11:00 am.

The Parade route will proceed South and East along Marion Avenue to James Street East, then lap around Kenwick Park.

Please note that children are encouraged to decorate their bicycles and participate in the Parade. All kids 12 and under, taking part in the Parade get a free pop and hotdog. Children 12 and under on decorated bikes can win prizes in each age category.

12:00pm to 3:00pm – Kenwick Park

Welcome – Entertainment – Kids Rides – BBQ

6:30pm to 10:00pm – Kenwick Park

Evening concert with Scott Manery & the Barnburners – 7:00pm – 10:00pm (All Ages Show)
Optimist Beer Garden open from 6:30-10pm

On CANADA DAY, Monday July 1st 2019, St. John Ambulance will be hosting our 7th Annual Charity Run for St. John Ambulance at Oakes Park in Niagara Falls. Our main event is the 5K Run/Walk for SJA which is also a part of the City of Niagara Falls’ Canada Day Celebrations!

To accommodate all ages we also organize a FREE 1K Fun Run to kick off the race day!   

Our Niagara Falls Branch has been serving the local community since 1938 through various community programs providing health and safety to community members of all ages. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help us respond to the needs of the many Niagara Falls residents and visitors who benefit from the community services we provide! These community service programs include: Medical First Responders, Water Patrol, Search & Rescue Niagara, Youth and Therapy Dog Programs.

Event sponsored by the Palliative Care Services program of the Brockville General Hospital. It is a program for individuals who are coping with the loss of a loved one. It provides an alternative form of self-help and support by walking along side people who share a similar experience. Trained bereavement facilitators accompany the walker each week. The walker should be able to tolerate walking at a leisurely pace and be prepared to walk in the elements of the changing seasons. (rain, shine, or snow)
