The Peterborough Garden Show will be back once again for its 18th year from April 13 – 15, 2018 (Friday 5-9pm, Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm).
The theme "Come Grow With Us" has an emphasis on sustainability and growing food as reflected in the list of speakers & topics. This year, in addition to speakers, there will be a series of hands-on workshops presented by the Peterborough & Area Master Gardeners.
In 2017, the show was honoured with both a Canada 150 Garden Experience, and also Garden Event of the Year by the Canadian Garden Council.
New this year will be a Celebrity and Florist Design Competition. Teams of a local celebrity and florist designer will each create a dress made up of flowers, vegetables and herbs. The creation will take place Friday evening and they will all be on display for “people’s choice” voting throughout the weekend.
Filling both ice pads of the Evinrude Centre will be more than 130 garden vendors, many of them new. Clearwater Creations will create a display garden at the entrance to one of the pads.
Upstairs, the ever-popular "Little Green Thumbs" Children's Garden will be teaming with liveliness and action! Children will be involved in learning activities as well as face painting, crafts, making a floral take-home and visiting all of the activity centres.
BE Catering will again be providing a delicious range of meal and snack choices. Kyoto Coffee has a new line of tasty, healthy smoothies to add to their locally roasted fair trade coffees.
Profits from the show go back to the community each year and continue to fund various local projects & Community Gardens, and also a number of post-secondary scholarships for students studying in horticulture-related fields.
We hope you will join us and "Come Grow With Us" this year. More details on bus trips, places to stay, tickets, speakers & workshops and contact information can be found at peterboroughgardenshow.com

The City of Windsor is home to an astonishing 209 parks of varying sizes and with varying uses. In a number of parks, one of those uses is off-road biking, and we want to hear what you think about it. Two open houses are planned, and residents are invited to come out and share their ideas with the staff that will be on hand to discuss options and suggestions, and collect comments. Whether you’re part of a competitive group or simply an individual who likes to ride, we welcome your input. The information will be compiled and used to help make future decisions surrounding off-road biking in our parks.
