Puppets come in all shapes and sizes and are a great source of entertainment for all ages. In this hands-on activity, children can let their imaginations run wild while practicing a number of craft making skills. Not only are they fun to make, but the end result will provide them with hours of fun.  Programs run from 9:30am - 12pm. The cost is $25 per attendant and pre-registration is required. For ages 6-12. Children are encouraged to bring their own snacks.

The ocean is the largest ecosystem in the world with thousands of species of plants and animals. In this activity, children will create their own small aquatic habitat and a variety of sea creatures and plants to live in it. These aquarium jars are fun to play with and will make excellent decorations.  Programs run from 9:30am - 12pm. The cost is $25 per attendant and pre-registration is required. For ages 6-12. Children are encouraged to bring their own snacks.

Why dine out alone? Socialize with other solo diner in a group for dinner on Thursday, June 20th, 5:30, at the Mandarin Restaurant St Catharines. All adult ages regardless of marital status welcomed. Enjoy an early morning yoga session with a view of Burlington’s waterfront! Join us for “Yoga with a View” on the Rooftop Terrace of Joseph Brant Museum on Saturday, July 20. Om Massage & Wellness will be on site to provide an all-levels yoga class from 8am – 9am, followed by mimosas and a breakfast snack bar featuring delicious scones from COBS Bread, biscotti from Mrs. B’s Gifthouse, and fruit from Edible Arrangements. Participants will also have the opportunity to view the museum’s galleries following the event, including our featured exhibit “Worlds of the Night.” Ticket includes 1-hour all-levels yoga class, 1 mimosa, breakfast snack bar, and admission to the museum galleries. Attendees are responsible for bringing their own yoga mat, water bottle, and towel. This is a 19+ event.

Enjoy an evening of food, drinks, games, and live music with the best view in the city of Burlington’s Canada Day Fireworks! Join us for Fireworks from the Rooftop at Joseph Brant Museum on July 1, 2024 from 7:30pm-10:30pm. Guests will enjoy classic Canadian treats including pizza, chicken wings, butter tarts, and Nanaimo bars. Beverages include beer from Northern Crow Brewing and a signature sangria. There will be giant lawn games available to play and live music from Hayley Verrall throughout the evening. The event will end with the City of Burlington’s Canada Day Fireworks at 10pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for the fireworks. Ticket includes pizza, wings, dessert, and 1 beer/sangria ticket. Cash bar available. This is a 19+ event. Tickets are $50/person.

The only professional dance festival in Kingston is back for a third year!

We are delighted to announce our festival lineup for this year’s Ground UP DanceFestival, taking place in Kingston from July 8-13. This year, renowned dancer Peggy Baker will perform her show Unmoored at theBaby Grand, and will offer a movement workshop to the Kingston community as part of the festival. Baker is a recipient of the Order of Canada and was the first person to receive the Ontario Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Arts. 

At our Lake Ontario Park main festival stage, audiences will enjoy a total of six dance pieces by local and visiting dancers, ranging from emerging to established.
