Community Event - Niagara - Welland County Motorcycle Club Races 2024
Motorcycle racing during the summer months - May thru September. Races are for juniors, intermediates, experts, open experts and vintage riders. Experience clay track racing while enjoying good food and gain new friendships in the tracks 78th year. The club is open to new riders every year for them to enjoy and experience the thrills. Grandstands are on site for you to experience racing up close.

Live Irish Music St Mark's Anglican Church invites you to its Coffee House on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 from 2;00pm to 4:00 pm. at the Parish Hall 268 Main Street, Barriefield, Ontario Performances by Gord Sly, Gary MacCabe, and Irish Roots. Free will donations will go to St Mark's Bell Tower Restoration Fund
Community Event - Burlington/Oakville - Dr Rob Goodman to speak at Canadian Club March 21.
The Canadian Club of Halton is excited to welcome Dr. Rob Goodman, Assistant Professor of Politics and Public Administration at Toronto Metropolitan University to speak in Oakville. He is an award-winning author and coauthor of several books, including Not Here – Why American Democracy is Eroding and How Canada Can Protect Itself. The March 21st dinner at the Oakville Conference Centre is a combined 3-course dinner and speaker presentation. $60.00/member and $70.00/non-member. As space is limited, sales at the door are not possible. Perhaps you have an old fur in your closet that you are no longer wearing. If you would like to know what can be done with your heirloom or vintage furs, come and learn how Cahills is changing the way you see and enjoy your furs. Bring your old furs to the evening and listen to Rob Cahill discuss what can be done in 2024 to further the life of your items. While listening to Rob, Black Honey Bakery will be sharing some samples of the treats you can buy at their store and Hutchison House will be providing tea and coffee.

Come and learn about custom upholstery, the steps in the process, with a focus on antiques. Learn about methods, tools, supplies and look at some of the samples Restwell has to offer. Come with specific questions regarding your own projects and Restwell will answer them.
Our tea and coffee pairing this evening will be Kawartha Buttertart Factory. They will have mini tarts to enjoy with your tea and coffee as well as some of their tasty, mouthwatering items for you to buy. Please bring cash for their purchases.

Learn how to keep your precious family documents, artwork and heirlooms in their best condition for future generations. If you have a document or small object that is in trouble, bring it with you and Basia will tell you how best to care for it. Our tea pairing will be with a local Bakery. Samples of their sumptuous desserts will be available to have with your tea. This is sure to be an evening you will wish goes on and on.

Community Event - Burlington/Oakville - Gardeners of Burlington presents guest speaker
Gardeners of Burlington presents guest speaker Michael Albanese: “Rain gardens and rainscaping”. Please come and join a friendly group of amateur gardeners interested in learning more about all aspects of gardening.
Michael is a landscape consultant, designer, contractor, writer, and public speaker operating under Avesi Stormwater & Landscape Solutions. His work focuses on helping people incorporate rainwater into their landscapes through ecological planting design. Currently working on the second edition to his book 'The Modern Rain Garden' Michael strives to be a positive influence on both the community and the environment.
