The fun starts at 8 am at the Quinte Curling Club with half the teams curling on the ice and the other teams competing at lounge games such as shuffleboard and darts. ARC Sing for a Cause is excited to support MCRC - Milton Community Resource Centre She Can program with their next Sing for a Cause event. The MCRC She Can program is a free empowerment program for girls that MCRC operates onsite at 410 Bronte St, Milton and in many local schools. It is very popular and has waitlists. They do not have enough funding to expand the programs and make sure it stays free and accessible for girls. ARC Sing for a Cause is a different type of fundraiser. The ARC Singers will entertain you; but there will also be an opportunity for others to get up and share their voices too. If you feel like singing you can BUT you must pay to sing! They are asking for a minimum donation of $5 a song for either you to sing or request one of the ARC Sing for a Cause Singers to sing. Whether you're a seasoned performer or just love to sing along, this event promises an unforgettable time for everyone.
St. Francis de Sales Knights of Columbus Council are back to serving their next delicious Community Family Breakfast on Sunday, January 28th in the St. Francis de Sales Parish Hall (434 Second St. W.) from 8:30 AM to Noon. Complete breakfast including bacon, sausages, eggs any style or pancakes, beans, home fries and beverage. All are welcome. Fully accessible venue with elevator service provided.
These Community Family Breakfasts are held to raise funds in support of the Knights of Columbus Council's charitable programs in the Cornwall community.
