Michelle O'Rourke, an award winning nurse and and author, will be speaking to the community on May 15, start 7 pm - 9 pm at Algonquin College (BIRL Building left side of parking lot). Michelle has dedicated her life to end of life care and helped to create a hospice in the Chatham area where she lives. The Hospice Hub is sponsoring her presentation in an effort to let the communities of Perth, Smiths Falls, Lombardy, Portland, and Westport know that there is a new non-profit, The Hospice Hub, dedicated to providing in home hospice care for the dying, their families and to offer bereavement support in the south Lanark County area. We encourage you to come out and join us to hear Michelle speak as well as learning about The Hospice Hub https://www.thehospicehub.ca/ Admission is free but we welcome donations of any kind to help support this community service. We are mostly volunteers and you may hear something that interests you in joining us. Please help us to spread the work, share the information, and bring a friend on Wednesday, May 15th.
