Ice Safety Tips

12:00 AM — 11:59 PM

Safety first! Be cautious when driving snowmobiles or vehicles over frozen lakes or rivers and always check that the ice is thick enough.

Remember:

• snowmobiles: minimum 20 centimetres of clear blue ice

• light vehicles: minimum 30 centimetres of clear blue ice

If the ice is white or opaque, double the required thickness.
