SFCT presents 'The Giant's Garden' Summer Musical

02:00 PM — 04:00 PM

Our Summer Youth Show - The Giant's Garden - by Canadians Peter Fenton and Scott White.

Deep in The Deep Dark Forest, hidden beyond The Stream of Sorrows and Sinking Spirits lies The Giant’s Garden – a place forbidden to outsiders. But when the Giant goes away, the children sneak in to play. For seven years their idyllic world has been undisturbed … until today. Today the Giant is coming home. Today the garden’s magic will threaten the world. And today a young boy will test his courage as he chooses between life and death. The Giant’s Garden is a tale of bravery, the importance of friendship, and the power of love, featuring a cast of colourful characters, a score filled with memorable songs and a story that will warm the hearts of children and adults alike.

Playing for 8 shows, over 7 days, please check out ticket availability and order your tickets at https://smithsfallstheatre.com/online-tickets-plays/. Adult tickets are $24, Student tickets are $10. Tickets can also be ordered at Special Greetings, 8 Russell Street East and by phone at 613-283-2244. This is a family friendly play, spotlighting the Youths of our community. A show not to be missed.

Mental Health First Aid Training

09:00 AM — 04:00 PM

Non-profit Rural Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Support Network of Eastern Ontario holds several Mental Health First Aid Trainings each year.

MHFA provides you with the skills needed to extend critical support to individuals navigating mental health crises or challenges. Much like traditional first aid, MHFA fosters the ability to identify common signs of distress and deliver immediate aid until professional assistance is accessible. MHFA contributes to improved individual, community, and workplace well being.
