Meg Miller's Shenanigans

07:00 PM — 09:00 PM

MEG MILLER’S SHENANIGANS LIVE

May 10 and 11 at the Arts Hub Studio Theatre in Brockville.

Meg has more than one story to tell and she’s sure to tickle your funny bone. Set in the Rosewood Retirement Home, octogenarian Meg Miller loves to recall the days she spent growing up in the Ottawa Valley back in the 1950s and 60s.

Written by storyteller/author Deborah Dunleavy, Meg Miller’s Shenanigans column appears regularly in the South Grenville Beacon newspaper. In her live presentation audiences hear all about Meg’s monkey business - from her driving adventure in the back fields, to the time her toy rocket misfired.

Joining Deborah are musicians Pat Johnson on guitar and mandolin, and Billy MacInnis on fiddle. The musical styles mirror 50s and 60s tunes from the Ottawa Valley including Eddy Arnold’s “Cuddle Buggin’ Baby” and Hank William’s “Hey Good Lookin”.

For years Deborah has entertained audiences with her stories and characters, notably Bea Tompkins in At The Canoe Club Dance and several characters in Battlefield Petticoats – Women in the War of 1812. She has performed nationally from Labrador to Vancouver Island and internationally to Ireland, Scotland, The Peoples’ Republic of China, and Singapore.

Enjoy Meg Miller’s Shenanigans - a light-hearted romp guaranteed to make you leave with a smile in your heart.

Show times: Saturday, May 10 at 7pm and Sunday, May 11 at 2pm.

Location: Arts Hub Studio Theatre, St. John’s United Church, 32 Park St., Brockville

Admission $25 at the door; cash only.
