Sue Hawkins who runs a page called Clutter Busters that helps people who organizing their homes/apartments and uses social media as a way to communicate with others and trade services such as clean a room and someone paints a room in the home.

Thousands of area residents packed the Bradley Centre this weekend for the fifth annual CK Expo, celebrating pop culture.

Organizer Rob Bellamy says the event has been growing over the last few years.

“The very first large one we had was just under 1500 people, the year after that was just over 1600, and we had 1700-ish last year,” Bellamy says. “It’s been amazing how much Chatham has embraced this event, and it is so nice to see so many people get involve, not only helping us get ready but when they get here they’re dressed up in costume or they’re helping support the vendors.”

The Clash Of The Sirens at the St. Clair College HealthPlex in Chatham, Ontario on April 14 raised $5,586 for Chatham Hope Haven

The competition was organized by Blair's Bootcamp, LLC and featured teams of four competing in three different first responder-related challenges.

A release from Chatham Hope Haven says the money “will go towards helping homeless men in our community.” The shelter has been providing homeless men with a safe place to stay overnight since November.

Chatham Hope Haven also has a special connection with first responders as police officers sometimes know of someone who needs a safe place to stay and have been directing them to the shelter.
